A light guide plate is provided to reduce the Fresnel Reflection Loss of an incident light to increase a light incidence efficiency, thereby compensating a dark part and improving a brightness of a backlight unit, by making the light guide plate to have a structure of a concave portion and a flat portion. A light guide plate has a light receiving part(110) for receiving the light from a backlight unit. The light receiving part has a concave portion(111) of concave lens shape and a flat portion(112) straightly extended from the lateral surface of the concave portion. The concave portion of R-letter shape has an arc ranging 0 to 180 degrees and a radius ranging 1 micron meter to 2 millimeter. Light loss preventing walls(113,114) are formed at the lower and the upper sides of the light receiving part, thus preventing the light from escaping through the lower and the upper sides of the light receiving part.
