A warning lamp assembly, e.g. for automobile use, comprises a casing 11, e.g. of synthetic resin, carrying first 17, second 21 and third 22 terminals, a resilient conductive strip 15 within the casing which is connected to the first terminal 17 and is adapted to support a bulb 24 with the bulb in contact with the second terminal 21 so as to complete a circuit through the bulb between these two terminals, and a movable part 27 supported by the casing and adapted to move the strip 15 into contact with the third terminal 22. The arrangement is such that in use the second terminal 21 is connected to one side of a D.C. source, the third terminal 22 is connected to the other side of the source so that operation of the movable part 27 tests the bulb, and the first terminal 17 is connected to the other side of the D.C. source through a switch 33 which closes when a warning is to be given. The movable part 27 includes a window 31 through which the lamp 24 is visible in use and is pivotally supported on the casing 11, stop means being provided to prevent movement of the movable part other than in a direction to complete the circuit between the second and third terminals. |
