A rubber composition for bonding tire cords is provided to minimize the reversion of the rubber during a vulcanization process so as to maintain the mechanical properties of rubber, to maximize the polysulfide links in crosslinking bonds, and thus to suppress the heat generation during driving. The rubber composition for bonding tire cords comprises, based on 100phr of a base rubber, 55-70phr of carbon black and 0.3-2.0phr of an additive, wherein the base rubber is a natural rubber or a blended rubber comprising 5-25phr of a synthetic rubber such as a styrene butadiene rubber and 75-95phr of a natural rubber, and the additive is selected from 1,6-bis(N,N-dibenzylthiocarbamoyldithio-hexane), bis-(0,0-di-2-ethyhexylthiophosphoryl)polysulfide and zinc-dialkyldithiophosphate.
