A device (13) is disclosed for use with a flat elongated blade (11) intended to remove panels such as glass panels from vehicles, the device (13 ) being provided with rest means (19, 26, 27) adapted to sit on the panel bein g removed and guide reciprocation of the elongated blade (11) whereby the blad e (11) reciprocates in the plane of the panel being removed.
