The invention relates to a tyre tread which is made from an elastomer material. The inventive tread is provided with numerous incisions, each incision having an average width e and being defined by opposing walls (20). The aforementioned tread is characterised in that at least one of the walls (20) defining each incision comprises at least one first series and one second series of pattern lines (310, 410) which form relief elements in relation to said wall (20). The maximum height of said pattern lines, which is measured perpendicularly to the wall, is at least equal to 1/10 of width e. Each series of lines comprises a plurality of lines that extend in one direction, with the lines (310) from the first series crossing over the lines (410) from the second series. Moreover, the inventive tread is characterised in that the entire surface of at least one of the walls (20) is provided with an average surface roughness that is equal to between 1/100 and 1/10 of width e of the incision.
