A head lamp mounting structure is provided to prevent a damage of a head lamp when a vehicle collision accident occurs by permitting a conical stopper protrusion to absorb collision energy when the collision energy is applied to the head lamp. A female bracket(30) is formed around a housing of a head lamp, and an insertion groove(31) is formed in the female bracket. A teeth-shaped stopper piece(32) is arranged on the insertion groove. A support protrusion(42) is formed on a male bracket(40) which is fixed at a body(3) through a bolt(41), and a groove(43) is formed at the male bracket. A hole(44) is formed on the groove, and a conical stopper protrusion(45) is arranged such that the top of the conical stopper protrusion is protruded from the hole. The insertion groove of the female bracket is fitted to the support protrusion of the male bracket such that the teeth-shaped stopper piece gets caught at the conical stopper protrusion.
