摘要 FIELD: manufacturing solenoid windings; shaping magnetic fields in microwave devices, such as traveling-wave or backwave tubes. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves use of continuous copper-foil conducting strip whereon other similar conducting strip is placed at angle of 45 deg. First strip is bent through second one at 90 deg. Then second strip is bent through first one at 90 deg. Bending line of one strip should be aligned with edge of other strip. Strips are alternately bent in this way with the result that solenoid winding turns are formed, their internal and external parameters presenting octahedrons. Turns are tightly fitted to each other without any clearances between them. In the process insulating plates made of type SMGP mica are inserted between turns. Turn number between two adjacent insulating plates depends on desired parameters of magnetic field. Winding is clamped in fixture and inner space of solenoid coil is bored to desired size. Connecting wire leads are soldered to ends of conducting strips. Passing current through conducting strips builds up magnetic field. ^ EFFECT: ability of shaping complex-configuration magnetic fields. ^ 1 cl, 2 dwg
