FIELD: nondestructive check. ^ SUBSTANCE: item is subject to discrete rotation. Piezoelectric converter focused onto internal surface of the item moves reciprocally above weld seam and simultaneously irradiates and receives ultrasonic signals. It also fixes reflected signal amplitude and coordinates of position of piezoelectric converter. Piezoelectric converter is mounted at an angle to item. Maximal amplitude of reflected signal is determined as well ass coordinates of location of piezoelectric converter at which coordinates the amplitude equals to 0,25 maximal amplitude of reflected signal. Height of bridging is defined by specific formula. Method allows improving sensitivity at revealing bridging of 0,15 mm and measur5ing bridging of 0,15 mm in thin-walled items. ^ EFFECT: improved precision of measurement. ^ 2 dwg
