LASER MODULE

A laser module is provided to suppress the generation of organic volatile gas in the airtight container and to prolong the lifetime of the laser module. A laser module includes a semiconductor laser device(LD7), a sealed container(40) and a plurality of optical components. The semiconductor laser device is placed inside the sealed container and has an emission wavelength from 350 to 450 nm. The optical components are positioned in the sealed container to generate the organic volatile gas. The organic volatile gas measured by GC-MASS is 10 ug/g or less at 150 °C. An organic adhesive is used to fix the optical components such as a collimating lens(17). In the organic adhesive, the amount of an organic volatile gas generation measured by GC-MASS is 100 mug/g or less at 150 °C.
