An apparatus for saving power in a convertible computer is provided to prevent the use of unnecessary power of a battery by intercepting the power approved to a digitizer. A keyboard controller(10) changes a rotation detecting signal from a low level to a high level. The keyboard controller determines a rotation state and disables a digitizer(13). A power switch(14) automatically intercepts the power approved to the digitizer. When a rotation switch(15) is turned off, the rotation detecting signal is changed from the high level to the low level. The keyboard controller determines that the display module is rotated to a tablet computer mode, and enables the digitizer. The power switch supplies the power to the digitizer and the power of the battery is approved to the digitizer.
