Provided is an electron wave-shielding material for electron wave-shielding adhesive sheet, which maintains electron wave-shielding effect for a long time in such a range as not to detract from fundamental waves in portable phones. The electron wave-absorbing or -shielding material comprises iron powder or soft ferrite powder, wherein the iron powder is plated with nickel. The iron powder is used in the material in an amount of up to 50 wt%. The soft ferrite powder may be at least one selected from the group consisting of manganese-zinc based, nickel-zinc based or magnesium-zinc based soft ferrite. In the material, the iron powder is plated with nickel to a thickness of at most 0.1 micrometer.
