The seat has a seat track (20) articulated by a front end with respect to a frame (10) around a hinge line. An articulation unit (40) articulates a lower part of a backrest (30) with respect to the frame. The articulation unit allows movement of the backrest from its normal vertical position to a horizontal retracted position by combined movements of the backrest around an axis and rotation of the same axis around another axis.
