The assembly has a sole (A) that comprises three notches (B) forming a lock and a clip (C) forming a key in a layer of the sole. The clip is immovably wedge in the notch by rotation. A position and orientation of notches on the layer is varied according to a position of thumb or ankle of user on the sole. The notches have a slit and a cross with an arm perpendicular to the slit. An independent claim is also included for a sandal.
