PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

A plasma display panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to achieve improved adhesion force between an upper dielectric layer and a magnesium oxide protective film. A plasma display panel comprises a liquid magnesium oxide(MgO) protective film formed on an upper dielectric layer. The magnesium oxide protective film is formed into a matrix, by adding an inorganic binder to a magnesium powder. Alternatively, the magnesium oxide protective film is formed by mixing a glass powder for the upper dielectric layer and a magnesium oxide powder. Alternatively, the magnesium oxide protective film is formed by melting a magnesium oxide powder on the upper dielectric layer.
