METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATING ISSUE RESOLUTION IN MANUFACTURING EXECUTION AND MATERIAL CONTROL SYSTEMS

A method and a system for automating issue resolution in manufacturing execution and material control systems are provided to enable components of an ISR(Issue Resolution) system to provide results-oriented messages and/or facilitate the collection of data as to whether and which corrective commands from the ISR system resolve the reported error conditions automatically. An automated ISR system(120) is used for automatically attempting to resolve identified issues that interfere with automatic production. The automated ISR system(120) includes an automated ISRM(Issue Resolution Management) system(122) for directing attempts to automatically resolve issues including error conditions relating to automated manufacturing facility. The automated ISRM system(122) includes a plurality of automated components. The components include a first component for automatically checking whether a first reported issue is a recognized issue for which an automatic resolution appears to be available, and a second component for commanding an automated corrective action by a part of automated manufacturing facility in response to a reported issue recognized by the first component.
