ANIMAL FEED COMPOSITION COMPRISING AN EXTRACT OF DIOSPYROUS KAKI

An animal food composition containing Diospyros kaki Thunb. powder, Diospyros kaki Thunb. extract containing hydrolyzable tannins and additives is provided. It has an excellent coloring effect on an egg shell and egg yolk and increases the weight of eggs and an anti-diarrhea effect of an animal. The animal food composition contains 50 to 80% by weight of Diospyros kaki Thunb. powder, 1 to 4% by weight of Diospyros kaki Thunb. extract containing hydrolyzable tannins and 10 to 20% by weight of additives. The additives are one or more selected from beta-glucan, vitamin E, L-carnitine and yeast culture. The Diospyros kaki Thunb. extract is soluble in water, C1-4 lower alcohol or a polar solvent of its mixed solvent or a non-polar solvent such as hexane, ethyl acetate, dichloromethane, etc.
