PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that changes in wiring of power source lines, reinforcement of power supply facilities, and construction of thick distribution lines are required, and the terminal voltage of a DC power source lowers when switching circuit-breakers for feeders in an electric railway are operated, if the switching circuit-breakers are operated by a solenoid operation system. SOLUTION: In parallel with two or more switching circuit-breakers, an electric double-layer capacitor is connected, and when the switching circuit breakers are operated energy discharged from this electric double-layer capacitor is used, and a DC current is supplied from the DC power source. Moreover, a discharge switch and a parallel circuit, composed of a short circuit switch and an auxiliary resistor, are connected between the DC power source and the electric double-layer capacitor for initial charging and maintenance.
