PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording material which prevents blocking phenomenon, prevents contamination of clothes or the like due to elution of a ferromagnetic body by being wetted by rain, sweat and the like and prevents peeling of a magnetic body and is superior in printing properties. SOLUTION: The magnetic recording material has a magnetic recording layer containing the ferromagnetic body and a binder as major components on at least one surface of a substrate, wherein the binder of the magnetic recording layer is methyl methacrylate-butadiene based latex, having≥95% gel fraction.
