PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying system of a heavy water handling facility and its drying method capable of recovering a large quantity of heavy water with a concentration as high as possible, especially removing tritium-including water existing in a dead space of the heavy water handling facility and removing tritium chemically adsorbed on the internal surface of the heavy water handling facility, and drying the heavy water handling facility in a short period. SOLUTION: In order to dry efficiently this tritium-including heavy water handling facility having the dead space, this pressurizing drying facility system of the heavy water handling facility is constituted of (a) a pressurized dry gas supply system for supplying/discharging the pressurized dry gas to/from the inside the heavy water handling facility, (b) a discharge gas analysis system for measuring the dew point and the tritium concentration in the discharge gas, (c) a vapor recovery system for cooling the discharge gas and condensing/separating heavy water vapor in the discharge gas, and (d) a discharge gas treating system for recovering the heavy water vapor remaining in the discharge gas by a moisture adsorbent and recovering/treating tritium in the discharge gas.
