PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect function abnormality of an automatic cigarette end recovery system prepared in a game machine. SOLUTION: A light emitter 103 emits light 107 to a sprocket 21-2 and a light receiving sensor 105 detects light 107 having passed through a slit 101 provided in the sprocket 21-2. When the cigarette end recovery system 15 is normally working, the sprocket 21-2 rotates at a constant speed and so the light 107 sensed by the light receiving sensor 105 becomes a pulse wave with a constant intervals. Conversely, when the cigarette end recovery system 15 is not normally working, the pulse wave does not become constant intervals and an abnormal waveform is detected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
