PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction vessel for producing high melting point metal in which deformation caused by heating can be suppressed, and which has a sufficient cooling structure by efficient heat radiation from a reaction part. SOLUTION: A plurality of sheet-like ribs 20 extending in a vertical direction are fixed to the outer circumferential part of a vessel body 10 with equal intervals in a circumferential direction. Each rib 20 has a length sufficiently covering a reaction part. The vessel body 10 is reinforced by the ribs 20 to suppress its deformation caused by the influence of high temperature, and further, heat radiating effect is increased. The inside of each rib 20 is provided with a passage for a cooling medium, and a cooling medium such as air is circulated, so that the cooling effect can be further improved.
