PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a metallic powder suitably usable for pigment in ink used in an ink-jet printer, because of having a smaller and finer particle size and a sharper distribution of the particle size than those of a conventional one. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method includes reducing one or two metallic ions which are objects to be precipitated, with a reducing agent to precipitate the metallic powder into a reaction system of a liquid phase, which is called a redox precipitation method, wherein the reaction system contains a copolymer having a polyethyleneimine part and a polyethylen oxide part in one molecule.
