METHOD FOR PRODUCING NOZZLE PLATE AND NOZZLE PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a projection amount due to an overhanging of the water-repellent film in the ejection port of nozzles. SOLUTION: The method for producing the nozzle plate includes the following steps. A photocuring resin 4 is applied onto a surface of a substrate 1 that includes a nozzle 2 while an ink ejection port of the nozzle 2 is filled with the photocuring resin 4 to the substrate 1. The photocuring resin 4 is irradiated with light from the rear surface of the substrate 1 through the nozzle 2 to form a columnar cured portion 5. The columnar cured portion 5 includes a portion which protrudes partially from the surface of the substrate 1 and has an outer diameter smaller than an inner diameter of an ink ejection port 2c and a portion which does not protrude and has an outer diameter equal to the inner diameter of the ink ejection port 2c. The photocuring resin 4 on the surface of the substrate 1 except for the columnar cured portion 5 is removed. The water-repellent film 3 is formed on the surface of the substrate 1 with the columnar cured portion 5 remaining in the nozzle 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
