PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the overheating and deterioration of a molding material MT while preventing the supply of the deteriorated molding material into a barrel by absorbing the heat of a heating part with a water jacket WJ being a heating suppression means before the overheating and deterioration of the molding material, which is present in the vicinity of the piston PS in a hopper HP by the heat of the molding material produced by the pushing force and shearing force between the inner peripheral surface of the hopper and the piston during the downward pressing of the piston in the hopper. SOLUTION: In the molding material supply device of the injection molding machine of a type for applying push-in force to the molding material preliminarily charged in the hopper from above by the piston during a molding cycle to press the same, a heating suppressing means, which suppresses the deterioration of the near molding material by the heat generated by the shearing force between the inner peripheral surface of the hopper and the piston during the pressing and push-in process of the molding material, is provided to the molding material supply device.
