PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient power generation device having a simple structure without requiring a special mechanism. SOLUTION: This power generation device is provided with a water tank 12 filled with liquid W, a levitation tank 13 immersed in the liquid W in the water tank 12 and levitating when its inside is filled with gas A, a blower 14 for feeding gas A into the levitation tank 13, an introduction pipe 15 for leading gas A into the levitation tank 13 from the blower 14, a generator 16 arranged outside the water tank 12 and generating power by vertical movement of the levitation tank 13, and a movement conversion means 17 for converting vertical movement of the levitation tank 13 into rotary movement of the generator 16.
