The arrangement has a floor plate for covering a rotary joint connecting two vehicle (1) parts, i.e. front (2) and rear carriages (4), with vertical and horizontal rotation axes. The floor plate is asymmetrically divided into two hinged floor parts so a first larger part covers the turn and pitch axes and the floor plate is mounted so the hinge axis is always parallel to the pitch axis.
