A magazine for a gas powered weapon has a transverse mounting behind the barrel and is indexed by a control lever (3) with a number of semicircular grips (11) to hold the rounds and with a ratchet nose at the free end to locate in a series of ratchet slots, thereby aligning the next round with the barrel. The lever is pivot mounted at one end of the magazine and is spring loaded.
