The invention relates to a cover which is intended to cover the decks of motor-vehicle-carrying trains. The inventive cover comprises parts or bases which are disposed on top of the structure of the deck (1). According to the invention, support feet (2) are fixed to the aforementioned structure and are equipped with lifting arms (4). The invention also includes hinges (3) which are equipped with arms (4) and which are fixed to a crossbar (20) comprising arched elements (6) that are used to support a piece of canvas (7). The invention further comprises a spiral reducer (8) having a primary shaft (12) for the actuation of the canvas (7) by means of a battery-powered tool or crank.
