<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that can transfer operation history information from a volatile memory to a nonvolatile memory even when the power is turned off when a trouble occurs. <P>SOLUTION: When a trouble occurs (S101; Y), the monitoring of the voltage of the power supplied from PSU by the setting of a setting flag is initiated (S102). When the voltage of source power from PSU becomes lower than a specified value (S103; Y), the source power is switched to a removable battery (S104) from PSU, and operation history information is transferred from the volatile memory to the nonvolatile memory (S105). The transfer process (S105) may be started when a trouble occurs (S101;Y). In that case, consumption of a battery can be restrained. By using an IC card or the like in which a battery and a nonvolatile memory are integrated, the power source may be switched to the battery in an ID card and the destination of operation history information may be switched to the nonvolatile memory in the IC card. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
