PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polyelectrolyte thin film superior in ionic conductivity and mechanical strength, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A solid polyelectrolyte thin film is formed by drawing a film, consisting of composition of alkali metal salt and ionic conductive polymer. The solid polyelectrolyte thin film has an elastic modulus larger than 10<SP>6</SP>Pa and a conductivity of 10<SP>-6</SP>S/cm in the thickness direction at normal temperature.
