PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the work of correcting macros even when the position of a unit or the assignment of a device is changed, and to facilitate the use of the macros. SOLUTION: This ladder program macro generator is provided with: an argument setting part for setting the unit number of a specific unit which is to be used in the macros among a plurality of units and which shows the connection position at a programmable controller and also setting an arbitrary device number included in the macros as the arguments of the macros; a macro registering and converting part for extracting the device number included in the range of the device assigned to the unit set as the argument by the argument setting part from the plurality of device numbers included in the macros before registration, and converting the extracted device number into the relative position by using the leading device number of the range of the device as a reference; and a macro registering part for registering the macros whose argument includes the unit number set by the argument setting part.
