PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus in which a red color as a warning color is not overlooked and no adjustment in a video circuit and a graphic circuit is required. SOLUTION: The display apparatus is equipped with: an outside light illuminometer in which an illuminance of the outside light is detected and an illuminance signal is outputted; a display information source in which a video signal and a signal from the graphic circuit are inputted and those signals are switched over or superimposed; a red color emphasizing means in which an output of the display signal source and an output of the outside light illuminometer are inputted and the red color is emphasized according to an amplitude of the output signal of the outside light illuminometer; a display device color conversion means in which the output signal from the red color emphasizing means is inputted and color conversion for the display device is performed; and an illuminance adjusting means in which the output of the outside light illuminometer is inputted and the illuminance of the display device is adjusted.
