PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensor which performs noncontact measurement of temperature on the measuring object to achieve highly-reliable temperature detection without being affected by noises, gap of timing or delay in response, etc. SOLUTION: This temperature sensor is provided with a chopper 5 which intermits infrared light path up to an infrared detecting means 6 for detecting infrared radiation from the measuring object 2, an A/D conversion means 11 for converting outputs of the infrared detecting means 6 into digital values, a digital values processing means 15 for processing the digital values used as more outputs of more than once from the A/D conversion means 11, and a temperature conversion means 16 for converting temperature of the measuring object based on these outputs of the digital values processing means 15. The digital values processing means 15 outputs a secondary regression curve computing means 34 for computing secondary regression curves of the digital values used as the outputs of the A/D conversion means 11 in each time of light incoming period and light shielding period for the chopper 5, an extreme values operation means 35 for calculating extreme values of the above computed secondary regression curves, and this calculated result to the temperature conversion means 16.
