PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-liquid separator of simple constitution for efficiently separating liquid from a mixture of solid and liquid without being restricted by the size or sort, of the solid components. SOLUTION: Water suction pipes 8 and bottomed air permeable pipe bodies 6 are inserted in dredged slurry S stored in a treating tank 2, and the inside of each suction pipe is decompressed to suck liquid from the dredged slurry S. Atmospheric pressure is thereby applied to the dredged slurry S from the inside of the pipe bodies 6, and the dredged slurry S is pressurized by the atmospheric pressure. The pressure difference caused by decompression in the suction pipes 8 and the atmospheric pressure is thereby generated between the suction pipes 8 and the pipe bodies 6, and moisture in the dredged slurry S can be efficiently sucked in a short time by the suction pipes 8.
