PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for mitigating a visceral pain such as menorrhalgia without using a teratogenic analgesic. SOLUTION: This visceral pain-mitigating composition contains civetone as an active ingredient. The method for mitigating the visceral pain, comprising administering the civetone into a person complaining the visceral pain to mitigate the visceral pain, is characterized in that the administration means is a means for transferring the irritation of the civetone to the brain of the person through an olfactory nerve.
