PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headrest which prevents the head of a person on a vehicle from being whiplashed, when being rear-ended. SOLUTION: The headrest 2 is provided with: a headrest rear part 5 fixed to a headrest stay 4 and a head rest front part 7; and a headrest front part 7 connected to the headrest rear part 5 through a pair of X linkages 6 in the state of being movable in the direction of separating from the headrest rear part 5. Regarding the first arm 11 of each X linkage 6, a rear-part side end 11a is connected with the upper end of a rear bracket 13 turnably by a rear fixed point turning shaft 19, and a front-part side end 11b is connected with the lower end of the front bracket 16 turnably by a front fixed point turning shaft 26. Regarding the second arm 12 of each X linkage 6, a rear-part side end 12a is connected with the lower end of a rear bracket 13 movably in a vertical direction and turnably by a rear sliding turning shaft 23, and a front-part side end 12b is connected with the upper end of the front bracket 16 movably in a vertical direction and turnably by a front sliding turning shaft 30.
