PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical method of efficiently obtaining an ozonized gas having high ozone concentration and a device therefor, to provide a method of efficiently obtaining an ozonized gas having high ozone concentration by using counter electrodes in which the gap length between the discharge electrodes is left as it is, and to provide an ozonizer. SOLUTION: The ozonizer is composed of electrodes arranged so as to be confronted and a dielectric substance arranged at least on either electrode, and has an electrode structure where, while a gaseous starting material essentially consisting of oxygen is fed between the electrodes, ac high voltage is applied to generate discharge. The gaseous starting material essentially consisting of oxygen and introduced into the discharge part of the ozonizer contains 0.05 to 2.0 vol% gaseous nitrogen. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
