In the air conditioner, the compressor is a motor driven compressor driven by one of a battery that is charged by a generator driven by a vehicle power source and an outside commercial electric power source. The air conditioning unit is an integrated unit of the refrigeration cycle system that includes the motor driven compressor disposed on a vehicle roof.
