A controlled domestic appliance arrangement and/or controlled industrial appliance arrangement has at least one sensor for detecting a condition of the appliance, a transmit/receive device coupled to the appliance, a control unit, a first storage unit coupled to the control unit, a control interface coupled to the control unit, a communication interface coupled to the control unit, and in which in the first storage unit an appliance control program is stored. A second storage unit is provided in the appliance for storage of detected variables. An external control device is controlled via the control interface and via the communication interface by using the appliance control unit. The sensor variables can be communicated to the external control device via the communication interface. An independent claim is also included for a control system for controlling the household and/or industrial appliance system.
