<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize safe and inexpensive distribution of unique encryption/decoding keys to a user, for transmission of a photographed image by a surveillance camera in the user's home through a network. <P>SOLUTION: When a PC 3 is authenticated by a server 2 (SEQ100) and a monitoring activation request is sent (SEQ101), an in-home security device 10 generates an one-time key (SEQ106) and transmits information such as the one-time key and a port number required for connection with the device 10 to the PC 3 via the server 2 (SEQ110). The PC 3 is connected to the device 10 by PtoP(Peer To Peer) connection (SEQ111). The device 10 encrypts a photographed image by a surveillance camera 11 with the one-time key and transmits the encrypted image in stream to the PC 3 (SEQ114). The PC 3 receives the stream data and decodes it with the one-time key delivered beforehand, and restores original photographed image to display on a display section. If a monitoring deactivation request is passed to the device 10 from the PC 3 (SEQ122, and 123), the device 10 discards the one-time key (SEQ124). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
