<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust luminance of a backlight as a whole and to prevent uneven luminance in utilizing a plurality of light sources as a backlight of a liquid crystal panel. <P>SOLUTION: The light source such as a first light-emissive part 21 is attached to a light guide plate 18 of the backlight 12 and the backlight comes on. Measuring units such as a first light-receptive part 31 are arranged on the opposite face of the light guide plate 18. A luminance value or a color tone of light inside the light guide plate 18 is detected with the measuring units and the luminance value or the color tone is feed-back controlled with a control unit 40 corresponding to the result of detection. Consequently, the luminance value and the color tone are made to be in agreement with reference values and values specified by users, and variation and aged deterioration of components are absorbed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
