<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out easily and properly the fine adjustment of a gap between abutting faces of annular raised parts of a pair of heat rolls for making a first heat seal along the transfer direction of a packaging material. <P>SOLUTION: Each of a pair of heat rolls 2 and 2 has the annular raised part 20 formed to revolve around the rotation axis z of the roll. The annular raised part 20 has a first portion 20b, which is an abutting face 20a that is given a surface shape for forming a flat seal part xa, and a second portion 20d, which is the abutting face 20a that is given a surface shape for forming a pattern-forming seal part xb.
