PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict a position, at which the detection of a white line results in failure, and to control in accordance with the prediction in white line detection which makes control so that an own vehicle may not deviate from a lane based on the detected white line. SOLUTION: Vehicles 5 and 6 are provided with a group of devices which detect a white line displayed on the surface of a road and control traveling support such as keeping the vehicles in the lane or the like based on the white line thus detected. In this case, when the vehicle 5 can not detect the white line, the designation of a position at which the detection of the white line results in failure is transmitted to a white line detection failure position management center 4 via a base station 8 and a communication network 10, and the white line detection failure position management center 4 transmits the designation of the position to the vehicle 6 via the communication network 10 and a base station 9. The vehicle 6, which receives the designation of the position, changes the contents of the control of the traveling based on the position, and notifies in advance the driver of the vehicle 6.
