PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for automatically switching a communication controlling mode in accordance with a receiving signal received from an external instrument, in a storing apparatus capable of switching the communication controlling mode. SOLUTION: The storing apparatus capable of switching the communication controlling mode in communication with the external instrument, is provided. The communication controlling mode comprises a high speed controlling mode performing a high speed writing of a data to a non-volatile memory capable of relatively high speed writing of the data, and a low speed controlling mode performing a low speed writing of the data to a non-volatile memory capable of relatively low speed writing of the data. This storing apparatus is characterized by providing the non-volatile memory capable of writing by both the high speed controlling mode and the low speed controlling mode, and a communication controlling part for automatically switching the communication controlling mode in accordance with the receiving signal received from the external instrument.
