PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device whose joining part in an image display surface is inconspicuous even when a large image display surface is formed by joining side end faces of a plurality of substrates, and also to provide an electronic apparatus provided with the electrooptical device, and a method for manufacturing the electrooptical device. SOLUTION: At the joining part 6 of two panels 3A and 3B, the panels 3A and 3B are arranged diagonally so that only the surface sides of the side end faces 31A and 31B of the panels 3A and 3B abut against each other. Thus, on the rear face side of the joining part 6, a cross section V-shaped groove 4 is formed along the side end faces 31A, 31B, and a mold material 2 composed of a photosetting resin or a thermosetting resin is filled in the cross section V-shaped groove 4.
