PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory control unit and its control method which guarantee an access sequence to a memory in a memory control unit, on which a plurality of ports with buffers are mounted. SOLUTION: An FIFO buffer is mounted on each port of the memory control unit 1 having the plurality of ports, and in accessing to the memory, tag information is generated in accordance with its priority order, packed with an address and stored in the buffers 21-24, and the access sequence of each port is ensured with hardware by reconstructing the priority order based on the tag information at the outlet of each buffer.
