PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secular change tester and a calibration device for a hot wire anemometer of small and simple constitution. SOLUTION: The calibration device for the hot wire anemometer comprises characteristically the Peltier element 10 capable of cooling the hot wire sensor of the hot wire anemometer; the voltage database 12 for storing the voltage of the Peltier element 10 necessary for cooling the hot wire sensor to the temperature corresponding to the prescribed wind speed, together with the reference wind speed; the voltage impressing means 14 for impressing the stored voltage to the Peltier element 10; the read in means 16 for read in the wind speed data detected by the hot wire anemometer at the time of impressing the voltage; the wind speed comparison means 17 for comparing the read wind speed with the reference wind speed; the approximate polinomial expression creation means 18 for crating the approximate polinomial expression to be written into the hot wire anemometer based on the read in wind speed data, if the difference exceeds the prescribed value; and the approximate polinomial expression writing means 20 for writing the created approximate polinomial expression in the hot wire anemometer.
