PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hairdressing scissors which can be safely used with protecting the hairdresser's fingers when the hairdresser cuts hair. SOLUTION: The hairdressing scissors have a stationary blade 1 and a moving blade 2 which are supported by a pivot pin and rotatably connected to cut hair at the intersection of the blade edges. A cover part 4 opposed to the rear surface of the unmoving blade 1 is provided. The cover part 4 is mounted to the stationary blade 1 and there is a space between them. When the moving blade 2 moves, the blade 2 is inserted into the space. The scissors for hairdressing are used to place the moving blade in the space between the unmoving blade and the cover. The position where the moving blade cuts the hair and comes close to the rear surface of the stationary blade is covered. Therefore, the hairdresser can safely use the scissors and the hairdresser's fingers can be protected from the moving blade. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
