In order to supply sensor devices and/or electrode unit having a high voltage potential, the electrical power is directly tapped from the high voltage line. To this end, field-increasing measures are taken to feed corona discharges from the high voltage line into a corona structure, the corona current being guided over a rectifier or a direct voltage filter element, and after rectification and filtering, the direct current is supplied to the units with a power of a few microwatts. A corona electrode (20) is associated with the high voltage line in the corresponding device, as a starting point for a corona discharge.
