The invention relates to a method and a device for identifying and compensating a perspectivistic deformation in an image of a flat, two-dimensional, rectangular code field comprising modules (21, 22) which are arranged in lines and columns, whereby the lower edge thereof is essentially parallel to a base side (23) of an evaluation window (24) transcribing the code-image and the left-side edge thereof (25) or right-side edge (26) forms a predetermined shear angle ( alpha ) with the base side (23), thereby making it possible to localise the individual module of the code image without using a complicated operator input, even if the image recording device is not arranged vertically above the code field. |
